Hey folks. All good? Uh, I’m here recording this video to report a bit of my experience using AI to learn. Uh, I think that anyone who follows Twitter, that kind of thing, there’s a somewhat crazy debate about you kind of not “porortar” yourself much with things. I think there’s a middle ground there. I think, I believe we have to be fast, but I also like trying to understand things as far as possible. And Eৈudando, absorbing more knowledge, because I always understood that absorbing more knowledge was the best shortcut for managing to grow. And I always believed that the more things you knew how to do — in this case, that I knew how to do — the more doors opened for me and I would have more opportunities.

And I did grow in my career, yes. Uh, I’m not necessarily the best, but like, I manage to move across different domains, I believe, in a very fast way. With AI now that makes it quite a bit easier. But I grabbed it, I was browsing Twitter on Friday and a guy came by, I don’t even know him, I didn’t even record it, I just grabbed his Twitter, his tweet, where he commented something about uh working with an infrastructure project, since kind of making SaaS and making and making a site is getting more and more common. It always was, but like, it’s getting more and more common and easier with AI — taking on harder projects to understand and attack, since that was something the market was demanding a lot.

And I’ve already had experiences with other platforms, with some learning platforms. I think the one I got along best with, the things I got along best with, was [snoring] BDV, which is, it’s several tutorials, you follow a track and all that. And also Codecrafters, which hands you several, you have several programs that you build from scratch, you build a shell from scratch, a torrent from scratch. And I thought, OK, all of that is really cool, I like messing with that, but with these, with these programs I already learned a lot with them, with these platforms, but I always missed something that, like, understood my difficulties and managed to turn that into more fuel for my learning. So I’ll give an example.

Ah, let’s suppose I’m learning about the terminal and then [snoring], when I go use the commands, for example to change directory, that kind of thing, I start making a lot of mistakes and I wanted something that understood what I’m doing. And I think with AI I managed to get to something similar to that. I always, I use Notion at work, but like I never liked using Notion in my personal life because I never had the patience to keep logging things. For me this second-brain thing, “seconda”, for me that’s kind of bullshit. And I never had the patience to do that kind of thing, but finally I think Notion with AI was a combination that fit really well, because I don’t have to worry about some things.

So I have, for example, in my note, a folder for my Grockbot that schedules some things for me, that reminds me of some things. So that is very useful for me, I don’t need to be actively messing with Notion. It’s there, I gave the robot access to the note, it monitors it for me, and now I’m doing an experiment that I started messing with today, I think it worked, which was asking cloud — but it can be chat and so on — to build a learning structure based on the projects from that infrastructure-part tweet, for it to build projects for me in the Codecrafter style. And I asked it to do that. It did, it built a structure, it picked more projects, a miner project, an agent-harness project, that kind of thing.

It built it. I asked it to lay out, like, all the milestones I should reach, and I asked it to separate and break it kind of in a Codecraft-with-boost.dev vibe, and I wanted it to record that for me too. So what did I do? I gave access, I kind of created, from my cloud code here, a project called programming learning, and I went building the Notion structure. I didn’t touch Notion. I asked, hey, build this Notion for me so you know what I know, what my difficulties are, and you’ll note that across our sessions. Then I’ll mess with the terminal. So, for example, there was one of the first things it — so I’m building a project here that’s kind of to make a sandbox for the agents, and the first thing it did was, like, try to validate my terminal knowledge.

It gave me some things and then I went doing them, and as I went doing them, interacting with the agent, like, I do it on my computer, then the agent asks me some things, I go and answer, I run it in my terminal, and it and we debate about that, it notes that in Notion, like, to understand my difficulties, and it maps that, it uses that as the source for the next session. So, for example, if I open another session inside this project, it will automatically already look in my Notion, understand what worked, what went well, continue from where we left off, and the idea is to go on from there. So like, I’m using this, I’m using it for this. Then I asked it to create other projects for me, “tentine learning”, an analytics-engineering project for me to keep, for me to do this by hand, since I believe I need to develop this critical thinking.

I can’t simply delegate everything to AI. I use it a lot. I’m here with cloud code open doing some things. It’s building the scripts for me here in my PowerShell — I [use] PowerShell a lot — but I needed it to do some things for me. I’m not in the mood to learn PowerShell, but I wanted it to do it. So like, I use it a ton, I have three subscriptions, but the idea here is to get across that you can use AI to be fast, you don’t have to use AI and get dumb. There are ways for you to use AI to become intelligent, or to get less dumb, so to speak. So I’m trying to use this thing here. I think this is a somewhat personal thing. So like, each person will adapt this to their own context. You — but the actual idea: you give your agent access to a Notion, it goes there, builds the database about what you know and what you don’t know, and you interact with it during the sessions, and it learns from what you know and what you don’t know, and it trains you to get better and better at what you don’t know.

So that’s the idea. I think this approach exists. I’m testing it, I thought it was cool. Like, I did a little session; when I finished the session, I said I was closing it, and it noted everything that, like, went well and what went badly in the session. So I thought it was cool. So I just wanted to share this with you because I think it’s worth it, and I think it made sense to shed a bit of light for anyone worried about losing their knowledge from “por est” using AI a lot. All good? That’s it. Thanks,

Fala, pessoal. Belezinha?

Então eu vou mexer no terminar.

Beleza? É isso. Valeu,
